About Festalink
FestaLink is an animated and personalized virtual invitation creator, developed to bring more charm, practicality, and creativity to the process of preparing a children's party. It is an independent project, created entirely by Victor Freire Oliveira, the digital artist and front-end developer behind VFO Studio, my personal art and design studio, developed in Maceió, Alagoas.
The idea was born from the desire to unite my two passions: programming and digital illustration. At a time of difficulty in gaining a foothold in the technology market, I decided to turn that frustration into action. Instead of waiting for an opportunity to appear, I created my own: a product that was useful, beautiful, accessible, and made with care in every detail.
Handmade art, with soul and personality
All themes, characters, backgrounds, and visual elements of FestaLink are hand-illustrated by me, using 100% open-source tools, such as:
Krita
for all digital painting
GIMP
for image adjustments and finishing
Inkscape
for icons, vectors, and graphic elements
I believe in the importance of democratizing creative tools, and open-source plays a fundamental role in that. Therefore, I make sure that my art and my code coexist within this ecosystem that values freedom and collaboration.
Technology that creates charming experiences
FestaLink is developed using a modern and robust stack:
- Next.js
- TypeScript
- Supabase
- Linaria (CSS-in-JS)

Everything was designed to be fast, responsive, intuitive, and pleasant to use, from the first click to the sharing of the final invitation.
Furthermore, my entire workflow is carried out on Linux Ubuntu, reinforcing my commitment to accessible, sustainable, and open technologies.
Why this project exists
I wanted to create something that was:
- simple for anyone to use
- visually charming
- accessible for families and organizers
- creative, fun, and unique
- and most importantly: made with humanity
